Museum of Islamic Arts, The Facade



The Museum of Islamic Art lies on the edge of Doha harbor at the south end of Doha Bay which opened its door to the public on December 2008. From the distance, the Museum seems to be floating on the surface of the water and as I approached the building, its shapes become more imposing revealing its geometric forms revealing its angular designs with its contrasting colors, shadows and lights.












As I enter the main entrance, I was awed by the blend of modern and Islamic themes, the intricate pattern and design of the white geometric walls and its ceiling with Islamic pattern, the domed atrium.  To be continued...
